San Vito lo Capo can be considered one of the must-see destinations for those who wish to spend their holidays in Sicily.
In the province of Trapani, located between the well known nature reserves called "Zingaro" and "Monte Cofano", San Vito lo Capo is the pride of the north-western island coast. A blue and green sea, white sandy beaches, beautiful landscapes and stunning sunsets (do not miss the Macari ones!) are just some of the ingredients of a holiday in San Vito lo Capo.
But this place can offer so much more. From the Zingaro Nature Reserve, which contains about 1500 acres of beautiful natural landscapes to the Sea Museum, which contains artefacts found under the beautiful deepest waters, nature has been able to give in San Vito lo Capo so much beauty and fame.
The history, which in Sicily has left so many signs, here in San Vito lo Capo tells a part of himself. Among the most fascinating historic buildings are the watch towers built around 1500, where still visible are the tower Scieri and the tower Isolidda.
Yet to visit the Sanctuary of St. Vito, built around 300 and the Chapel of Saint Crescentia, nurse of San Vito.
All these interesting tourist attractions, led to the building of several accommodations and vacation rentals in San Vito lo Capo, designed to accommodate thousands of tourists who annually flock to the beautiful city not only during the summer months.
And just when the summer is almost gone, in San Vito Lo Capo is held one of the most famous culinary events in Italy: the Cous Cous Fest, hosting chefs from eight countries (Côte d'Ivoire, France, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Palestine, Senegal and Tunisia).
