Summer holidays in Capalbio, Tuscany

The coming of June is a good opportunity to do the first dive into the summer atmosphere, enjoying the first warm days of the season. To enjoy a mini-vacation just focus on an Italian beach, our advice is Capalbio in the province of Grosseto.
This Tuscan village is one of the most appreciated by people living nearby to spend a day outside the city, its clean sea and the excellent facilities have been awarded 5 stars by Legambiete.

12 km of coastline, clean and pristine, which runs from thin to black volcanic sand, are enriched with natural bays, dunes and patches of mediterranean vegetation that fill the air with the scent of juniper.
Along the coast there is also the WWF oasis of Lake Burano, a picturesque small brackish lagoon. Children will love looking for the prints of porcupines, foxes and wild boar, and bird watching fans can photograph flamingos, birds of prey and other rare birds.
Capalbio also houses the bizarre Tarot Garden, a monumental park decorated with huge statues representing the figures of the Tarot cards designed by the Franco-American artist Niki de Saint Phalle.
After a long day of sun and sea, take a walk to discover Capalbio, the medieval town is very characteristic and many structures still intact. Particularly beautiful are the double medieval walls, built between the eleventh and the fifteenth century; from the top of the towers you can admire the beautiful landscape of the Maremma.
